You caught me completely off guard. I thought I'd blown it, watched you smile at someone else, and assumed I'd missed my chance for good, until we were alone, locked in a cupboard, and you looked at me like you'd wanted this as long as I had. You made me feel wanted and enough despite all my nerves and rambling, kissing me like you meant it and pulling me in until I forgot how to breathe, and now I can't stop thinking about how it felt to be yours, half-dressed and breathless.
